A Category 'D' CAZ is now active across the central region of the city which will incur a daily charge on all non-compliant vehicles (commercial and non-commercial) entering or passing through the zone (unless exempted).
On the West side of the city, the A4 (Portway, Hotwell Road, Brunel Way [i.e. Cumberland Basin Region]) is included. The A369, from Junction 19 of the M5 (Gordano), can be used to avoid the zone.
On the East side of the city, the zone extends from the A4032 (lower end of M32) to the junction of Bath Road (A4) with Wells Road (A37). The A4320, from Junction 3 of the M32 (or alternative route), can be used to avoid the zone. (Please Note: The return trip should avoid driving eastward along the Bath Road (A4) by Arnos Vale Cemetry as a one-way system will force you into the zone at the A4-A37 junction!)
Charges will not apply to petrol or diesel vehicles if they meet the following emission standards:

No notifications of entering the zone (denoted by above sign) are given. It remains the responsibility of the vehicles driver to ensure any incurred charges are paid within the allocated timescale to avoid additional penalty charges being applied.
